Air Crash Investigation
From the grounded Boeing 737 Max to crash landing at one of the world's most challenging airports, the new 20th season uncovers the truth behind the most legendary aviation disasters. With Air Crash Investigation being the channel's best-performing show, we wanted to celebrate the new season by giving it a fresh and updated feel.
Design and Animation
Our promo for Air Crash Investigation on National Geographic uses a newspaper and press coverage design style to highlight the importance of going beyond the headlines. We compiled the most recent newsworthy cases into a video edit that presents them in the form of newspaper headlines and articles. The graphics seamlessly transition the viewer into each case, creating an immersive viewing experience. By avoiding the futuristic approach of previous seasons, this concept emphasises the juxtaposition between the past and present of aviation. The traditional newspaper-style provides authenticity and a contemporary take on a traditional news medium. The script and narrative reinforce the importance of manual work in preventing further tragedies, reminding viewers that technological advances alone cannot eliminate all risks.
