The Connected Home
When it comes to staying safe online, children and their parents have been left with all responsibility, but none of the control. - Dame Rachel de Souza (UK Children's Commissioner).

The Connected Home is an online resource hub to help empower parents with crucial insights into the privacy and security concerns surrounding IoT devices. Whether you're a novice or an expert in smart home technology, the user-friendly platform delivers bite-sized tips on understanding the workings of IoT, identifying potential dangers, and implementing effective risk mitigation strategies. Committed to ensuring children's safety in an increasingly connected world, The Connected Home provides a comprehensive toolkit for users to stay informed and secure.
This was my dissertation project during my final year of university. As the sole developer, I was responsible for the project's entire development process, from the initial pitch, research, design and development, to the finished output. It was a lot of hard work, but it was also a labour of love. I'm thrilled that the project was successful, and I'm especially grateful that it was well-received by my peers and professors, winning the final-year project award for the highest grade in my cohort. I hope that the Connected Home project can continue to be a valuable resource for anyone looking to understand the Internet of Things (IoT) from a consumer perspective.

Project Illustrations
For this project, I designed several modern and minimalistic illustrations to make abstract concepts more tangible for readers. These fun and approachable illustrations were integrated into main article images, social media posts, and infographics, resulting in a cohesive and engaging visual experience that contributed to the project's success.
